Update on Lauryn Hill

When Lauryn Hill made her first appearance in Sister Act II, she captured many with her beautiful voice. I mean it was like no other. She latered joined a group known as the Fugeees and the world just consumed her music because it was speaking truth. Knowledge meaning real life lessons. I personally enjoy Lauryn Hill and her music and writings, in fact, she's my favorite female artist. But as she began to mature in the music industry, she was influenced by love that caused her to do things that weren't considered normal for her to do. Just like young artists that were deemed as great musicians in the industry such as Whitney Houston, Tina Turner and Ray Charles.
I really do not believe that Lauryn Hill is sprung out on drugs and cannot function. Many are critizing and may not understand the reason for what she is doing exactly. I believe that the way that she dresses is a new eccentric style that one has to acquire like a taste a certain food. Accept it for what it is. If Lauryn Hill decides to make another album and it is not inspirational in any aspect, then I may say my alter ego has changed!

Kanye West at the VMA's

So I was Watching the Video Music awards and Taylor Swift recieved the Best female video, and during her speech of gratitude Kanye snatches the microphone from Swift and says that Beyonce had the best video of all times. The audience was shock and in awe of what Kanye did. Kanye, this was not the BET awards. With that said regardless if one feels like Beyonce should have won the award or not, the option was left up for the fans to decide. Taylor Swift is so young and it was her first award and for it to happen like that, it is indeed sad. Kanye Please get it together!
Being a vital asset to the Hip Hop culture, Kanye West, has to realize that how he conducts himself has an importance to his career.

Larry King: Chris Brown

The Chris Brown and Rihanna case was a touchy topic to me, mainly because I value their presence in the music industry. So watching this first appearance of Brown on TV speaking on the issue was very important. I believe that Brown represented himself really well throughout the interview. He respected Rihanna enough to not go into detail about that night; he left the decision up to her whether she wants to share the story with the world or not.
At no point in this blog am I justifying Brown in his decision to repeatedly threaten and beat on Rihanna. In fact, I feel like the judge should have given Brown a more intense punishment. At the same time Brown lossed a great deal of endorsements.
After watching the interview on the Larry King show, I understand more about how Brown feels disappointed in himself in acting out of character. At the same time no one really knows what happened that night beisdes Rihanna and Brown. Rihanna also played an important role in this domestic relationship as well. So who is anyone to assume that Rihanna didn't wrongly in the situation?
